Taranaki branch

Taranaki is NZEALS' newest branch, with its inaugural meeting held on 29th March 2011. The meeting attracted delegates from the entire educational sector, from early childhood to tertiary, with a strong presence from the early childhood sector. The evening was attended by 35 eager people, interested in supporting the new branch and working with others. The evening was supported by NZEALS Council memebrs: Kate Thornton, Jeremy Kedian and Annie Henry. As a result of this successful launch, there has been considerable interest in joining NZEALS, and further Branch meetings have been held.

A Branch Committee has been elected as follows.

Committee members: Allan Day (Principal: Spotswood Primary), Judith Nowotarski (Head Teacher: Hawera Kindergarten), Gillian Lawson (Business Manager: Kidicorp).

Secretary: Dawn Osman (Senior Teacher: South Kindergarten Association)

Treasurer: Position vacant

Vice-President: Ramila Sadikeen

President: Mandy Coupe (Professional Services Manager: Kidicorp).
