For three, four, or five authors, cite all the names followed
by the year the first time in the text. In subsequent
citations, include the surname of first authorfollowed by et
al. (a period after et al. is important) and the year of publication.
For six or more authors, cite only the surname of the first
author followed by
et al. and the year for the first and subsequent citations.
