The Journal of Educational Leadership, Policy and Practice, which has two issues per year, publishes the work of established and new scholars and practitioners. The journal aims to highlight new knowledge and importantideas from both New Zealand and elsewhere in the world. In particular, JELPP welcomes studies that further international debates in the field of educational leadership.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers may be submitted at any time of year; in addition, calls for papers will be issued before each journal deadline. All papers are subject to refereeing by two independent scholarly
reviewers before being considered for publication.
An international
board of leading academics supports the journal.
Once accepted, papers may be subject to minor editorial revisions.
Journal of Educational Leadership, Policy and Practice
is indexed in INNZ and is published on line with the Informit
e-library
Submissions of papers and / or questions can
be made directly to the editors.

Dr Kate Thornton
Kate Thornton is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education Policy and Implementation at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
Kate’s research interests include educational leadership,leadership development, mentoring and coaching, and online professional
learning. She teaches in both undergraduate and postgraduate course mainly focusing on educational leadership and mentoring and coaching.
Her publications include articles arising from her doctoral research into the use of blended action learning to support leadership development.
Kate is currently National President of NZEALS and was recently awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study mentoring and coaching programmes in the United States.

Dr Louise Starkey
Louise Starkey is the Associate Dean of primary and secondary teacher education at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
Prior to joining Victoria, she taught and held leadership positions in a number of secondary schools. Louise’s research interests focus on teaching and learning in the digital age and include exploring theories, policies, and practice within school and university systems.
From this research she has developed thinking about the future of teaching in the schooling sector which is shared through the book “Teaching and Learning in the Digital Age”.
Louise’s contribution to educational research has been recognised through being named in the Routledge class of 2011.
