President
of Sri Lanka meets with Commonwealth Foundation
The Commonwealth Foundation, together with the Minister of
Health for Sri Lanka, country heads from WHO, representatives
from the World Bank, UNAIDS about HIV/AIDS, World AIDS Day
and ICAAP met with the President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa,
to discuss the need to integrate reproductive and sexual health
into the education curriculum.

Diversity Matters Forum
The theme of the next Diversity Matters Forum, which will
take place in Johannesburg is Media and Diversity in the Commonwealth.
The activity has already attracted considerable interest and
registration is now open. The Fourth Forum will take place
at the Monash South Africa campus from 21 to 24 February 2007

Grants
- After Mikuyu
The Commonwealth Foundation and the Arts Council England sponsored
a vibrant new play in September. After Mikuyu uses award winning
poetry from former political prisoner Jack Mapanje and performances
from Malawian and British performers. Presented as a work-in-progress
as part of Oval House Theatre's Southern Africa Season, After
Mikuyu, based on the challenges facing Jack Mapanje and his
survival, is full of music, humour and charm.
